The fact that its parent company are Honda served as another factor in behind its success, since many consumers trust the reliability and the reputation of Honda for being the producer of cars with low costs for maintenance and ownership. Back in the 1991, the company announced its own unique jewel, the all-aluminium-made NSX car, which is an exotic sports car that can deliver a good performance with a lower price for purchase and maintenance. The company faced its first significant struggle when the product line of the company grew in variation back in 1990s. Some of its car releases are low in quality so Acura struggle a little bit. It also faced the risk of losing loyal customers as the company changed the name of Integra and Legend with alphanumeric names. To deal with this, the company decided to join on the bandwagon of luxury SUV during the mid-era of 90s. However, it still did not match the expectations of the customers.
